When I was a small one, inside me I did see
Living on a dirt road up this holler, no one I'll ever be ...
For out there, is the bright lights, calling to me,
And what can I ever do, climbing a tree ?
White Oak Holler, oh golly, Lordy Be !
God, please move me away, I can't breathe .
I want to watch cars go by, and wave ,
They make me feel I can fly...they're going somewhere.
Then one day, to the highway mom and dad did move ;
Now, that's more like it, this fits my groove .
Friends in High School stop by, you see, so many I love !
Thank God in Heaven above...I 'm free!!!
BUT---
I married, had a child of my own ;
One thing wisdom of years has shown ,
I'd give the world, if all my children did own, hehe---
A dirt road to grow up on.
SO---
God heard my plea, and a dirt road I found ;
My husband and I, we cleared every tree, the very ground
I'd look through my window to hay fields, as laughter
Rang loud, form atop horses, --- flying hair did abound ---
My children whizzing through hay fields, slick as a wind ;
Later it was motor cycles and scarred knees ---
Broken limbs, they said, forget the these ,
Grapevines across the revine, now, that's for me ;
WELL, God Did A Marvelous Thing, He BUILT
Character like perfume with apples as fruit
Wafting from the scene...goly ghee
God, You sure have been so good to me ---hehehe
A dirt road NOW, that's the thing for me!

Back In The Day
Back in the day when young legs could run and play
Watch new baby birds, crack their way out of shells
Pick Daisy's, Violets, and Blue Bell's, " for a crown on your head "
I Loved U;
You with your broomstick crusty sword, slaying dragons, a knight adored;
Upon black flashing steed, all the girls paying you heed ...'an me,
Tip toeing behind the wind, carrying your bananna leaf royal cloak,
Like a bride's maiden lifting a long veiled train ---
You turned and looked so handsome it was a shame; I...
Then stooped and with Beagle pup slumbrous eyes, (to my surprise)
My heart puddled and ran in the grass,
Amazed, that two hearts so young could beat this fast !
 That's when you became my knight errant.. gladiator in fun
YEP;
I fell in love that day, right out in plain day light's brightest sun
You must know by now--- You are: "My Thrill On Blueberry Hill"
"My Still Upon The Hill" and "Charlie Brown" all rolled into one
Ahhaaaa, "Those Were The Days My Friend"...
Everytime I talk to you....they come back again, and again, and again!
I love you Knight Errant....
Here's My Salute To You Forever
From:
Your "Sweet Ruby Jane"
hehe...Always the same
