Remember The Children
My heart doesn't know how... or why,
My dad doesn't love me, will not say I am his
Lord, sometimes I wish I could die.
Beautiful little child with blue eyes so lost,
Do you think your dad will ever know the cost ?
Know the pain so deep, you wither with shame?
And being rejected you take all the blame?
Do not get excited about a little kindness,
Or a pat on the head;
That's the alcohol, the drugs, you know....
YOU KNOW ---what lies ahead.
So hide behind a wall of fantasy
and imaginary friends,
Expect nothing from no one, then you
won't hurt so badly.
God, does the world know.....
While they are awake and when they sleep
I W E E P !
